2.3 Belongs to, attached to

An arc is said to belong to a relation but to be attached to a concept. This is useful terminology, and will be used throughout the remainder of these notes.

For example, in the graph

   [Say]->(Thme)->[Phrase: "Nightie-night"]
   "Say 'Nightie-night'" 
the two arcs belong to the relation "(Thme)", while they are attached to the two concepts "[Say]" and "[Phrase: "Nightie-night"]".
